An independent guide

US Parks Guide is an independent guide to national parks and the states around them. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Park Service, and it is not a government or official site. Park names, places, and factual information are used to help visitors plan, not to suggest any official status.

What this guide covers

Start with the Parks directory and the Yellowstone flagship page, Yellowstone National Park. State pages for Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho are published in this framework batch; other state pages come in bulk after launch.

Data sources

Park information is drawn from the National Park Service (nps.gov), including Yellowstone at nps.gov/yell. Maps and geographic data are from OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database License. State facts and symbols are drawn from official state sources, including wyo.gov, mt.gov, and idaho.gov. Attribution for maps: © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Safety disclaimer

Safety note: Conditions change. Check official advisories before going. Roads, trails, weather, wildlife, and park services can change at short notice, so always check the official park advisories and current conditions before you travel, and follow posted rules and ranger guidance on site.

This guide is for planning help only. It does not replace official park information, and no guarantee is made that every detail stays current.
